LA ZANJA MINING – WATER FACILITIES
Minas Buenaventura is a Peruvian precious metals producer with more than 69 years of experience in mining exploration, development, construction, and operation. Its subsidiary, Minera La Zanja, has been operating 2010 the La Zanja project with open pit copper and gold mining at 3500 meters above sea level, located in the Cajamarca region. In addition, Minera La Zanja contracted Almar Water Services Latam to operate its drinking water treatment plants, domestic wastewater from its camps, acid water, effluents, and runoff water under activated sludge methodology, conventional filtration, and neutralization. This ensured compliance with the quality standards and LMP applicable to the operation.
