World Water Day 2018: nature-based water solutions
This week, Almar Water Solutions took part in one of the leading events in the water sector, the Global Water Summit 2018. The company, which participated for the second year in a row, was the official water sponsor of the event and provided water for all those in attendance for three days. Also, Carlos Cosín was a member of the panels during the conferences on day two of the event.
The arrival of new technologies, companies and financing sources is eliminating the limits of the water sector and is driving the global water industry to connect, innovate and transform the way to do business. This was part of the speech given by Carlos Cosín, who was a speaker at the session titled “Finance – Water Finance Council: Better Collaboration”. In his presentation, he described the financing gap that exists between the private and public sectors, and how the arrival of private companies has changed the way in which macro projects in the water sector are financed. Along with Carlos, other companies such as fWE, organizations such as the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, and public representatives such as the governor of Mombasa county in Kenya were also present.
Other workmates from Almar Water Solutions also attended the Global Water Summit to network with other companies and clients and to get a first-hand understanding of the news in the sector and the new technologies related to water. They all had the opportunity to enjoy the water that Almar Water Solutions provided and sponsored over the three days of the event.
Almar Water Solutions, faithful to the Global Water Summit event, played a key role and highlighted its solutions for the design, development, financing, operation and maintenance of water infrastructure for both the municipal and industrial sectors.
