WE IMPLEMENT SUSTAINABLE INITIATIVES IN OUR DAY-TO-DAY WORK
Did you know that at least 8 million tons of plastics end up in the oceans every year? This is the equivalent of pouring the entire contents of a garbage truck into the water every minute…
Plastic bottles can take 450 years or more to degrade and decompose. During this long process their chemicals seep into the soil and the plastic micro-particles are released into the water.
Researchers in a recent study examined various types and brands of bottled water for plastic micro-particles and proved that 93% of them contained some type of micro-plastic including polypropylene, polystyrene, nylon and polyethylene terephthalate (PET)
In addition, tap water is strictly regulated by the state, regions and provinces, which is not always the case with bottled water.
Here at Almar Water Solutions we are committed to taking care of the environment and the health of all. That is why we have implemented an initiative in our offices to replace bottled water with reusable bottles to fill with tap water.
