MOMBASA – DESALINATION PLANT

The Mombasa desalination plant project was awarded to Almar Water Solutions at the end of 2018, and is currently in the financial closure stage. Mombasa will be the first large-capacity desalination plant in Kenya and is an unprecedented project that will pave the way for the development and improvement of the infrastructure network on the African continent.

The plant will be located in the North Mainland area in the county of Mombasa and will have a capacity of 100,000 cubic meters per day, supplying drinking water to over a million people. The facility will be managed and operated, until its transfer, for 25 years.
