Almar Water Solutions, key player at the IDA International Conference on Water Reuse and Recycling
Almar Water Solutions participated as a sponsor and speaker at the International Conference on Water Reuse and Recycling held in Valencia, Spain, and organized by the International Desalination Association (IDA), in collaboration with the Spanish Association for Desalination and Reuse (AEDyR). The event, which took place from 24 June to 27 June, brought together the leading companies in the water sector and the most renowned experts in the field of water reuse.
Carlos Cosín, CEO of Almar Water Solutions, was the moderator of the event’s main panel discussion, “The Big Debate: Water Reuse Regulations in Europe, USA and Asia”, where experts from each of those areas involved in the development of these regulations offered their opinions and experiences. These regulations define and cover the different uses, requirements and advantages of water reuse to satisfy the growing demand for water for agriculture, industry and urban uses, as well as the recharging of aquifers.
During the afternoon, as part of the presentation of iAgua Magazine 19, Santiago Martínez, Managing Director of Almar Water Solutions, gave a talk about unconventional water resources in the new PPP schemes. Santiago covered the main technologies for desalination and reuse and highlighted the role of renewable energies to reduce costs and emissions in water infrastructure.
Lastly, Almar Water Solutions sponsored the gala dinner that was held at the Arts and Sciences Palace of Valencia, which was attended by all of the key players in the water sector at the national and international levels.
Almar Water Solutions has been a member of the International Desalination Association since its inception and collaborates with the organization supporting initiatives to promote, educate and increase awareness of desalination and water reuse in all parts of the world.
