SANTIAGO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT – WATER TREATMENT PLANTS

One of the services with the most significant impact on the daily life of Chileans and foreigners arriving in Chile is the service developed at the Arturo Merino Benitez International Airport. For more than seven years, Almar Water Services Latam has expanded the operation and maintenance activities of drinking water and wastewater treatment plants. Both supplies are critical for the regular operation of the airport facilities.

All the drinking water supply, with a maximum capacity of 125 liters per second, in the different air terminals is the responsibility of Almar Water Services Latam, a failure in the supply of drinking water implies the impossibility of operation of the airport with a significant impact on the normality of flight departures.

With a treatment capacity of 111,000 cubic meters per month, the wastewater treatment plant is one of the largest operated by Almar Water Services Latam. It allows the discharge of treated water under Supreme Decree 90 to a surface water body.
