ANTUCOYA MINING – DESALINATION PLANT
Antucoya Mining’s desalination plant has been operating since 2012, producing 2,930 cubic meters of water per day for the industrial client Antofagasta Minerals, located in northern Chile. Using reverse osmosis technology, the plant captures seawater, which is subsequently treated in different phases, producing quality process water in sufficient quantities.
This project was developed considering an early stage of drinking water production by means of modular equipment belonging to our company’s rental fleet. In addition to the original project, in 2014, an extension of the pre-treatment was designed with the purpose of complying with the water quality requirements for intake by the system.
