Almar Water Solutions participates in the ALADYR International Congress

Almar Water Solutions took part as both a sponsor and speaker in the ALADYR International Conference held from 9 to 11 October in Santiago de Chile, Chile. With the slogan “Water to Latin America”, the event brought together more than 450 people and 150 companies, all experts in desalination, reuse and water and effluent treatment.

Carlos Cosín, the CEO of Almar Water Solutions, led the plenary session “International Desalination and Reuse Forum. A sustainable future”, where the leaders in the industry debated the state of these technologies, their regulation and the most notable projects. Carlos emphasized that Latin America has been focusing for years on desalination and reuse for the production processes of different industrial sectors such as mining, but that these unconventional water sources are now increasingly being applied for municipal uses.

Almar Water Solutions also officially sponsored the event with a very interesting activity: the distribution of USB drives to those in attendance with the corporate information on the company and its parent company, Abdul Latif Jameel. Almar Water Solutions currently has an office in Santiago de Chile to respond to water challenges in Latin America in both the municipal and industrial sectors.

ALADYR is a private non-profit organization whose purpose is to foster actions and initiatives that promote water reuse, treatment and desalination as pertinent options for sustainable and environmentally-friendly use of this resource. Under this premise, the events at ALADYR are aimed at professional training, updating content, spreading knowledge and experiences through technical presentations. Almar Water Solutions supports initiatives such as this one from ALADYR to promote the use of sustainable water technologies that improve the quality of life for citizens and promote economic development.
