Abdul Latif Jameel has a presence in around 30 markets on six continents and is engaged in a wide range of business sectors. It employs around 11,000 people from over 40 nationalities.
Abdul Latif Jameel Energy and Environmental Services was formed in 2012, to spearhead investment in a more sustainable future and is today engaged in the generation of utility-scale renewable energy solutions including solar wind and storage through FRV; and water solutions including desalination, water and wastewater treatment solutions and environmental services through Almar Water Solutions.
It is currently the leading developer of photovoltaic solar energy in the GCC region and a world leader in photovoltaic solar energy.

Almar Water Solutions was created in 2016 by Abdul Latif Jameel Energy and Environmental Services to expand its solutions portfolio into multiple water industry sectors creating a team with a proven management and technical international pedigree in this field.
Almar Water’s mission is to respond to the growing need for potable water by implementing a sustainable program of desalination and purification, wastewater treatment, reuse and recycling.
We also focus on collaborative development of hybrid renewable power and reverse osmosis desalination plants to minimize the energy consumed in water production and to reduce the carbon footprint of the desalination process. We continually driving ourselves to innovate and constantly seeking to harness latest technological advances to improve our capabilities.
