Almar Water Solutions has been actively participating in the 10th World Water Forum, held this week in Bali, Indonesia. The World Water Forum is the world’s largest event on water, organized by the World Water Council to promote awareness, build political commitment, and trigger action on critical water issues at all levels. This year’s forum, themed “Water for Shared Prosperity,” has brought together global leaders, experts, and stakeholders to address the most pressing water-related challenges.

IFC’s Utilities for Climate (U4C) CEO Roundtable Side Event:

Carlos Cosín, CEO of Almar Water Solutions, joined the “How to leverage private sector expertise and financing” session organized by the International Finance Corporation (IFC). This roundtable focused on the crucial role of private sector investment and expertise in enhancing utilities’ climate resilience and sustainability.

Booth at the Spain Pavilion:

Almar Water Solutions was featured at the Spain Pavilion, an event organized by ICEX. This event included a general presentation of Almar Water Solutions, highlighting our innovative solutions and contributions to the water sector.

“Worldwide Observatory for Non-Conventional Water Resources & Renewable Energy” High-Level Panel:

Carlos Cosín was also a panelist on the “Worldwide Observatory for Non-Conventional Water Resources & Renewable Energy” panel. This high-level panel was coordinated by AquaFed, FAO, and the Institut Méditerranéen de l’Eau (IME). The discussion centered around integrating renewable energy with non-conventional water resources to enhance water security and sustainability.

In the session, Arantxa Mencía, VP of Global Business Development, spoke on “Can utilities be incentivized to use less and reduce demand while remaining viable?”. This session explored innovative strategies and incentives for utilities and the private sector to invest in water efficiency and demand reduction.

Additionally, Almar Water Solutions has expanded its presence in Indonesia by appointing a new Business Development Director for the region and opening a new office. This strategic move aims to enhance our operations and service delivery in Asia Pacific, demonstrating our commitment to providing localized and effective water management solutions.
