CODELCO ANDINA – WATER FACILITIES
Codelco Andina Division is the Chilean state-owned copper mining company closest to the country’s center in the middle of the Andes Mountains. Given the particular geography, the site’s infrastructure is fragmented from the mountain range to the central valley where the tailings dam is located in the Huechún area. This infrastructure dispersion means Almar Water Services Latam operates and maintains 19 sewage and water treatment plants. The service also includes the transport and supply of potable water to facilities that do not have piped drinking water supply, maintenance of sewage systems, collection and cleaning of chemical toilets, cleaning of pits and grease traps, and minor repair work.
