Almar Water Solutions certifies its management systems to the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards
As part of its commitment to continuous improvement and to achieve maximum quality standards, Almar Water Solutions has gained certification for its management systems to the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards. The certifying body was SGS and the audits were conducted during December 2017.
The ISO 9001 standard promotes the adoption of a process-based approach when a quality management system is developed and implemented, and when its effectiveness is improved. This is based on the PDCA continuous improvement cycle (Plan, Do, Check, Act). Similarly, the ISO 14001 standard makes it possible to simply standardize any environmental aspects that arise during each of the activities carried out within the organization. It also promotes environmental protection and pollution prevention from a perspective of balancing these activities with socio-economic aspects.
Lastly, the OHSAS 18001 standard sets out the requirements for an occupational health and safety (OHS) management system, aimed at allowing the organization to control its OHS risks and improve its OHS performance. Implementing an occupational health and safety management system and certifying it according to OHSAS allows companies to decrease their accident rates and boost productivity, comply with prevention legislation and promote a preventive culture by integrating prevention into the company’s general management system.
These certifications demonstrate that Almar Water Solutions not only carries out its business processes in compliance with applicable regulations and laws, but that it also develops work systems that meet the international standards set out in ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 in terms of quality, the environment and occupational risk prevention. All of this leads to refined working methods and continuous improvement that bring comfort to any stakeholders who have relations with the company.
