The international water industry meets at the Global Water Summit in London
The international water industry has met this week at the Global Water Summit in the Sofitel Heathrow Hotel, in London. Due to the pressing and growing need for capital to develop water infrastructures, financing and investment were the main themes of this summit.
Almar Water Solutions took part as the official Water Sponsor over the three-day event and Carlos Cosín, the company’s CEO, was member of two panels. The first was a workshop called “Delivering $0.40 Desalination”, with the participation of the CEOs of the leading water sector companies. Carlos made a presentation on improvements in desalination technology and the variation in rates from the 90s to the present day.
To conclude the event, Mr. Cosín was also on the closing session panel on Wednesday afternoon, in which three prestigious experts evaluated the trends and new opportunities facing the sector.
To round off the day, Almar Water Solutions announced the creation of a joint venture with Hassan Allam Utilities (HAU), the public service and investment unit of the leading regional construction and engineering group Hassan Allam Holding (HAH).This new partnership aims to develop BOT and BOO water projects in Egypt.
