Almar Water Solutions diamond sponsor of the ALADYR International Congress in Santiago de Chile
- Almar Water Solutions was a diamond-level sponsor, the highest category, at the ALADYR International Congress, held in Santiago de Chile on October 26 and 27.

Almar Water Solutions, a leading company in the development and management of water infrastructure and services, and part of Abdul Latif Jameel Energy, was a diamond-level sponsor, the highest category, at the ALADYR International Congress, held on October 26 and 27 in Santiago de Chile, Chile. The company also participated actively in a variety of activities, including presentations, debates and an exhibition space.
ALADYR is the Latin American Association for Water Desalination and Reuse, founded in 2010 in Antofagasta, Chile. It is a non-profit trade association, a leader in Latin America in the field of desalination, reuse and treatment of water and effluents.
On the first day of the congress, Arantxa Mencía, vice-president and business development director at Almar Water Solutions, made the opening speech together with authorities, companies and experts in the water sector in Latin America.
In her speech, Arantxa Mencía pointed out that “desalination and water reuse have become key technologies to combat this scarcity and inequality, both for the population and for sectors that require large amounts of water, such as industry or agriculture. The latest innovations in membranes and the use of renewable energies make these solutions viable, efficient and sustainable options, capable of producing water in sufficient quantities and with the required quality for all of these uses.”
After the opening speech, Matías Cuevas, business manager of Almar Water Services LATAM, gave a technical presentation titled “Mobile solutions for water treatment” where he discussed short-term and/or seasonal water solutions through leased mobile plants. Matías was also able to present several success stories of the use of these solutions with industrial customers.
Almar Water Solutions also had a small stand where it connected with customers, partners and friends to explain the company’s strategic plan, its regional partners in Latin America and the business lines focused on solving water supply problems through project development, asset management, services and industrial water.
