Almar Water Solutions sponsors the Global Water Summit 2022

• Almar Water Solutions was the Water Supplier Sponsor of the Global Water Summit 2022 and provided solutions other than bottled water for the attendees.
• Carlos Cosín, CEO, and Rodrigo Segovia, CTO, participated in different sessions on international projects and innovations in desalination.

Madrid, Spain – 19 May 2022.  Almar Water Solutions participated in the 2022 edition of the Global Water Summit held in Madrid on 16, 17 and 18 May. The company was the Water Supplier Sponsor, providing solutions other than bottled water for the attendees, and several of the company’s executives took part in the different sessions of the conference.

Once again, for the third year in a row, Almar Water Solutions was the Water Supplier Sponsor of the Global Water Summit. In an effort to reduce plastic waste and promote tap water, this time, the company handed out modern reusable bottles with an exclusive design so that attendees could refill them with tap water. It also produced recycled paper cups and brought water fountains to quench the thirst of all of the event’s participants.

In terms of participation in presentations, Carlos Cosín, CEO of Almar Water Solutions, was a speaker at the pre-conference workshop “Win Win Procurement”. This workshop brought together leading public water utilities from the Middle East and North Africa, as well as private companies, contractors and consultants, to find solutions to the market’s new contracting conditions and to bring value to all parties.

On the first official day of the event, Rodrigo Segovia, CTO of Almar Water Solutions and director of the Industry and Technology division, moderated the session on “Accelerating new models for desalination”. Following the consolidation of reverse osmosis, this panel discussion presented ideas on how to scale and deploy new technologies by investors, owners, engineers, lenders and end users while still managing their risks.

The Global Water Summit brings together leading companies and executives from the water sector to discuss topics such as finance, projects, strategies, technology and innovation, the circular economy, desalination and reuse, digitalization, climate change and SDG 6.

Almar Water Solutions participates in the sector’s biggest events to showcase its strategies and innovations, and also to do business in person. Next week, it will also participate in the Madrid Platform event to promote business and relations between Latin America and Europe, with a special session on water and human rights.
