Carlos Cosín, CEO, Almar Water Solutions and Former President, International Desalination Association (IDA) has successfully moderated the United Nations General Assembly Water Conference Side Event: Incorporating Non-Conventional Water Resources into Integrated Water Resources Management. The event was organized by the IDA and the Spanish Minister for the Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge and took place at the Instituto Cervantes in New York, USA.

Almar Water Solutions, a leading business in developing and managing water infrastructure and services, together with Al Jomaih Energy and Water Co. (AEW), will develop a water project with Saudi Aramco, which consists of a water treatment plant with a 185,000 m3/day capacity in support of water injection for the Zuluf Onshore Oil Facilities project, located in the Arabian Gulf, 240 km north of Dhahran.
The contract signing occurred last December, while the financial closing materialized by mid of March, 2023. The project, which will be developed under a 25-year BOOT (build, own, operate, and transfer) scheme, includes the design, development, financing, construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance, and transfer of ownership.
Aguas San Pedro S.A., a company that operates services to produce and distribute drinking water, sewage, and wastewater treatment in Chile and a subsidiary of Almar Water Solutions, has acquired 100% of Empresa de Servicios Sanitarios Aguas de Colina S.A. This company has been operating in the water and sanitation concessions market in the municipality of Colina in Chile since 1995. Currently, it provides services to about 1,500 residential customers and a major urban development program.
